A Well Deserved Win for the Saints!

It's a few days after the great super bowl win!! And I'm still smiling. The New Orleans Saints beat Peyton and the Indianapolis Colts with a 31-17 victory in a long, drawn out fight. Most people bet against the underdogs. And I agree, it is always easier to pick the veteran quarterback, who some say is one of the best quarterbacks of all time. But life isn't easy and obvious. Those football players and teams who have heart never give up, until the last second on the clock runs out. Sometimes the greatest reward is overcoming the deepest challenges. And so we have the Saints and their leader, Drew Brees...

I had the opportunity to travel to New Orlean's for a tradeshow about two years ago. And absolutely fell in the love with the city. In being there, I wasn't sure what to expect or how to feel as all I knew about the city was talk of horror and devastation. With low to no expectations, I came with an open mind. With my experience, I realized the raw, pure joy and passion within the city. I saw the resilient spirit in people's eyes. As I walked along Bourbon Street, I was led by the sound of a saxophone playing in a Jazz Club and an impromtu concert with colorful costumes outside a local restaurant. So when I relfect on New Orleans, the win and my travels to the city, I see hope and a lively future for football. Lead by Drew and his 1 year old son up on the podium after the game. This is a moment the city, his family and the world would never forget. Thank you for that moment; it makes it worthwhile for football fans like myself.
